Ideas for the Final Project

1.) Since my project is going to focus on the main topic of fashion at Syracuse, I think it would be interesting to examine the closest of various girls. I will most likely compare and contrast the items within my own closest to those of my friends as many of us have very different shopping patterns as well as styles. It will be interesting to see what items are common to all the closets as well as what items are completely unique.


2.) Since UGGs are such a popular item at Syracuse, I would like to see how many pairs different people have. It would be interesting to see which types are the most common and the ones are the most common.


















3.) Since a lot of formals for different clubs and activities are coming up, I thought it would be interesting to see the types of formal wear that people have in their closets. I want to determine the styles that are popular this season as well the “classics” that people have had in their closets for a long time.

Idea for the Final Project

As a fashion design major, I am very conscious of changing styles and the extent to which people my age follow the latest trends. Consequently, I think that my final project could involve studying the popular styles at Syracuse and comparing my findings to what is shown in magazines and in the media as well as at other schools. If I could video people around campus and possibly have people model popular outfits in some type of "fashion show," the project could be further enhanced.
